If you are running a server and no one can join, it's most likely a network issue. Please search the support forums (links provided above) for a solution. Make sure you don't have a firewall behind a firewall (in most cases your router is already a firewall. Disable all local firewall programs and virus scanning software and port forward the listed ports in your router).

NOTE: In the event that all else fails then we suggest that you actually contact support. Please be sure to have tried the other avenues of support that are available beforehand. It is difficult for us to personally provide support for all the users of the software. If you have a problem that is not resolved within the above resources then contact us or the good folks at http://thegoodoldays.com and provide us with precise details and the text of error messages. We will do what we can to resolve your problem.

How to Install DFFAVS with Cheat Blocker (required in some servers)

Make sure that your DF2 game is not running.

1) Download the DFFAVS31.EXE from DF2VIDEOS.COM main page (right side) or from the link in the resources section listed above .

2) Install DFFAVS31. Delete the empty DFFAVS folder created on your desktop after install (you won't need it).

3) Go to C:\PROGRAM FILES\RUN-TIME\DFFAVS\DF2PAD.EXE.

4) DF2PAD.EXE is the executable for the DFFAVS. Make a shortcut for DF2PAD.EXE and put it on your desktop.

5) Double click the shortcut to launch the DFFAVS.

6) Go to TOOLS > CB CONFIG Click: LOOK UP, AUTO UPDATE, INSTALL.

7) Left side menu: DF2 ICON > VERIFY THE PATH TO YOUR DF2.EXE, Uncheck ALLOW RESETGAMES, click INSTALL INTO GAME.

10) Left side menu: TEST ICON > TEST...It should say "OK" If not, check the DFFAVS FAQ, DFFAVS Forum OR http://thegoodoldays.com for support. You can find those links are listed above.

11) Close the CB CONFIG window.

12) Go to SETTINGS > GAMES TAB > DOWNLOAD CONFIG.

-->>(If the Download Config worked properly, skip to line 16 of the instructions. If you receive an error, proceed to the next step)<<--

13) If the "Download Config" does not work (especially if you have VISTA), Go to GOOGLE and type "DELTA FORCE 2 NOVAWORLD LOBBY" for the search.

14) In Google, it's the first link. The Lobby URL will look something like this: http://nw2.novaworld.net/df2lobby8.htm

15) Copy and paste the URL into the Novaworld text box in the settings/games tab window.

16) Click OK.

17) Verify that the box next to TOOLS says ENABLED. If it says "Disabled" click it so that it says "Enabled".

18) Close DFFAVS and ***REBOOT YOUR COMPUTER***.

19) Restart DFFAVS. Verify the box again next to TOOLS that it says "ENABLED" If not, click it so it does, close and then reopen DFFAVS.

20) You are now ready to enjoy your DFFAVS with Cheat Blocker in the FUN COOL MAPS CTF server and other servers that require it.
